In a time of social and environmental crisis the focus on the social responsibility of our cultural institutions is bigger than ever. Join us in this lecture and conversation led by Professor Roxane Permar. She will make a presentation of her research on the potentials of social practice for cultural institutions to create social engagement, and how the teaching of social practice can be improved for arts practitioners through partnership between cultural- and higher education institutions.

Afterwards Professor Roxane Permar will be joined by representatives from different art institutions, who work with different ways of social engagement. With a moderator they will explore how art and cultural institutions can create social engagement in communities, and what responsibilities the institutions have and their role in the future.
