Redstocking Songs, Women’s Struggle and Protest4

THURSDAY 1 OCTOBER

Mini Exhibition and Workshop.

  • Thursday 1 October

Song and music were an essential part of the Redstocking Movement in the 1970s. Songs were used to express criticism of existing structures and hopes for a better future.

In this mini exhibition, you can explore posters, photographs, original song lyrics, and other archival materials from the musical culture of the Redstocking Movement, drawn from the archives of the Rock Museum. You are also invited to share anecdotes and try your hand at writing a protest song.

Find the exhibition in the café of Rockmuseet.

Language: Danish

The installation is presented by Rockmuseet and the research project The Sound of Women’s Struggle, University of Copenhagen.
