Harvest Celebration at GROW

How can we live good lives with a significantly lower climate footprint? And what role can cultivation, biodiversity and local communities play in this transition?

On this interactive walk, we move from Musicon’s vibrant cultural landscape towards the green oasis of GROW Langkærhave. Along the way, we experience an area shaped by the coexistence of temporary cultural events, traces of festivals and open green spaces. Abandoned artworks and remnants of the area’s history as a gravel pit also tell the story of a landscape in constant transformation.

When you arrive at the garden, you are invited to join the harvest celebration. Here, artist Maiken Stæhr launches a new abstract garden magazine bringing together experiences from Harvest and Survive – a performative work centred around a vegetable garden at GROW during Roskilde Festival 2026. Through the magazine, the work and the garden’s potential as a place for cultivation, art and community are explored further.

The harvest celebration also features a concert by Magma Rea, who creates organic alt-pop for the community – music for open hearts that dare to dream new worlds into being, and bodies that want to dance in the midst of sorrow.

During the harvest celebration, you can also make pancakes over an open fire, press juice from locally grown organic apples and take part in a seed bomb workshop. Here, we explore in practice how seeds, soil and cultivation can create new resources for people and biodiversity.

The walk is organised by CONCITO’s GLIMTT project, which explores how we can live good lives with a significantly lower climate footprint.
