- Thursday 1 October
How can we understand philosophical reflection as a worldly and engaging conversation?
In a time marked by crises and major changes, conversation is particularly important and a key tool for asking the difficult questions, imagining alternative paths and finding new solutions. Which philosophical questions concern not only academic philosophy but all of us in modern society?
A couple of RUC’s philosophy students will prepare and present a paper followed by a philosophical dialogue on a topical issue, where philosophical dialogue becomes significant for a global problem.
As it is the students themselves who decide which texts and topics we will work with on the course, it cannot be determined in advance which questions will be raised for debate. But room for discussion and philosophical reflection is guaranteed. You can therefore expect to leave the event with a sense of curiosity and having taken part in a structured philosophical dialogue with RUC’s philosophy students.
