Utopias for whom?

FRIDAY 27 SEPTEMBER

When we dream of a better world, we must ask ourselves: Who are utopias for?

  • Friday 27 September
    Cafescenen, 15:00

Which people, which bodies are the utopias for? Meet a panel of experts and artists ready to share their knowledge and experiences in creating accessible physical spaces and promoting a sense of community through Universal Design and inclusion.

We face a future with an aging population and a new demographic reality. Therefore, a more inclusive approach is needed so our homes, public spaces, and urban life can accommodate everyone, regardless of body and mind. This is the focus of the panel, moderated by Naima Yasin, which consists of Barbro, Camilla Ryhl from the Bevica Foundation, poet Caspar Eric and Anita Pedersen, head of department in Urban Strategy at Landsbyggefonden.

And as a special feature, you can experience Universal Design in practice with a mini-concert by musician Barbro. Following their performance at Roskilde Festival 2024 with a sign language interpreter on stage, they are expanding with more elements to create an inclusive concert experience for everyone.

You will leave the concert inspired and equipped with concrete tools and examples on how to create inclusive spaces for use in your daily work.

“Utopias for whom?" is presented in collaboration with Landsbyggefonden and Bevica Foundation.
