The Lost..

THURSDAY 26 SEPTEMBER

A riveting visual and musical journey to the roaring Atlantic Ocean

  • Thursday 26 September
    Hal 9, 19:30

The folk music trio Dreamers' Circus and Aaben Dans take you on a captivating visual and musical journey to the roaring Atlantic Ocean. The Lost.. throws words overboard and hands the stage over to newly composed music and five expressive dancers. A sensory-filled performance about the innermost essence of humanity and nature's superhuman strength.

The performance is freely adapted from William Heinesen's powerful and poetic novel The Lost Musicians about an isolated island community in the Faroe Islands. Here, strict religious beliefs collide with looseness, while nature's unpredictable forces lurk in the background. Human beings disappear into the music, drown in the sea or the bottle, in grand dreams or petty envy. The Lost.. explores humanity's longing to survive, lose oneself, and maintain hope amidst the unforgiving nature of the Faroe Islands.

The impressive 90-meter-long raw concrete casting hall sets the stage for an intoxicating journey through Nordic folk music and explosive dance. Your pulse will rise, and the floor will shake beneath your feet. An experience that will resonate in your body and mind.

Tickets for the performance thursday, September 26 are sold out. You can still buy tickets for other dates directly with Aaben Dans.

Presented in collaboration with Aaben Dans.
