Utopian Festival Spaces

How can Roskilde Festival be seen as a land of opportunity for sustainable living arrangements and urban areas? 

The temporary construction of what becomes Denmark's fourth-largest city, offers a chance to create visionary ideas and demonstrate that architecture can lead sustainable development. 

In a course, architecture students from the Royal Danish Academy have worked with the Roskilde Festival and GRASP’s theme; Utopia. The students have developed concepts for sustainable temporary living arrangements and other infrastructural constructions and ideas, based on the festival's camping area. 

Get inspired and curious about the temporary as a space of opportunity for sustainable solutions and immerse yourself in the visual representations of the architecture students' utopian ideas and concepts. 

The exhibition was also showcased at Roskilde Festival 2024.
