Join us for the premiere of the artistic documentary film about the senses, created in collaboration between Aaben Dans and Kanvas Film. The documentary follows the cross-aesthetic and interdisciplinary project Focus on the Senses, which explores the concept of sensing with curiosity and without preconceived notions — in both humans and nature.
Over the course of three gatherings in spring 2025, a group of artists and scientists came together to explore what the senses mean for our existence in the world. From their respective fields, they have challenged each other: Do plants have senses? What kind of collective reflection space can the artistic approach create? What does the phenomenological perspective say about senses and art?
The documentary offers a beautiful and sensory introduction to a shared conversation. The film will be screened followed by an open dialogue with the artists and scientists behind the project.
