- Thursday 25 September
How does the electric car suddenly become the obvious choice? Why do meat-free days no longer seem radical? And how do new ways of collaborating spread within organizations? Social change rarely happens by chance – it often follows a dynamic we can learn to recognize and use proactively.
This workshop dives into the concept of positive social tipping points – those pivotal moments when norms and behaviors shift dramatically because change feels both meaningful and possible. From there, transformation can ripple outward – often faster than expected.
Based on Rune Baastrup’s work and the latest international research, we’ll explore questions like:
- How can you recognize signs that something is tipping in your everyday life or organization?
- What small but important behavioral or cultural shifts can accelerate sustainable change?
- How can you support new norms and practices that spread and become self-reinforcing?
The workshop combines theory, case studies, and hands-on dialogue, giving you space to reflect, share experiences – and uncover new possibilities for action in your field.
You’ll leave with concrete tools and fresh inspiration to help amplify the changes already underway – and make them harder to stop.
