When Solutions Have Unintended Consequences

THURSDAY 25 SEPTEMBER

Circular Entrepreneurship and the Art of Avoiding Rebound Effects

  • Thursday 25 September

You have the passion, the idea, and the drive to create something green – but have you considered the full picture?

The Circular Lab invites you to an open networking event focusing on rebound effects – the hidden consequences that can occur when solving one problem unintentionally leads to new ones.

Experience Ellen Helldén from DTU Construct unfold the concept and share insights on rebound effects in the context of entrepreneurship. Her talk will be followed by a deeper conversation about how entrepreneurs can address the systemic complexity that often leads to rebound effects, as well as how to consider behavior and consumption when designing sustainable solutions. The goal is to anticipate and avoid rebound effects.

The event concludes with informal networking and a taste of the circular future through food and drink.
