It won’t be long before we open the doors to GRASP Festival 2026. It all begins on 1 October: three days of talks, conversations, workshops, art and music. One of GRASP Festival’s key ambitions is to create sustainable change. That is why we have been working towards having GRASP Festival certified with the Nordic Swan Ecolabel, just like Roskilde Festival.
We are now proud to announce that, following extensive efforts to meet ambitious requirements in areas including resource consumption, waste, food and beverages, transport and procurement, GRASP Festival has been awarded the Nordic Swan Ecolabel.
“We are delighted that GRASP Festival has achieved the Nordic Swan Ecolabel. The certification reflects an ambitious, targeted and documented effort to reduce the festival’s environmental and climate impact. At the same time, I hope it can inspire more events to take the same greener path,” says Frederik Gudi Sommer-Gleerup, Head of Certification at Ecolabelling Denmark, which is responsible for the Nordic Swan Ecolabel in Denmark.
The Nordic Swan Ecolabel is the official Nordic environmental label and one of the world’s most stringent environmental certifications.
For GRASP Festival, the new certification marks an important milestone in our efforts to develop and host a festival with a smaller environmental footprint. We are proud of the result and look forward to building on this work.
