GRASP POP UP X ORANGE WEDNESDAY

29.10.2025News

The Road to the Poster – from First Days to the Main Stage

Join a special edition of Orange Wednesday when GRASP and Roskilde Festival Højskole invite three of Roskilde Festival’s music programmers and the artist Bisse for an evening exploring how music travels from the first tones on a small stage to a spot on the festival’s iconic poster.

The evening concludes with an intimate solo piano concert in the high school’s atrium.

As Northern Europe’s largest music and culture festival, Roskilde Festival gathers 130,000 participants each year — and with that comes a responsibility to curate a program that both celebrates established stars and gives space to new, emerging talents.

This evening, we take a close look at the ideas and choices behind the festival’s First Days program. What do the bookers look for? And how do they make space for new, up-and-coming artists in an industry that can be hard to navigate?

After the conversation, Bisse will perform a solo piano concert — raw, intimate, and up close.

Panel participants
• Stefan Gejsing – Music Programmer, Roskilde Festival
• Selma Eistrup Madsen – Team Leader, Team First Days & First Days Programmer
• Vy Sakauskaite – First Days Programmer & former student at Roskilde Festival Højskole
• Bisse – Musician and performer

Moderator: Aske Erbs Ørbæk, Lecturer, Roskilde Festival Højskole

Look forward to an evening that takes you both behind the scenes — and deep into the music.
