Curating music for the immersive

How do we curate artists for concert formats that experiment with the physical, technological, and spatial?
That question is explored by GRASP and Sonic College in a panel discussion at Sonic Days on November 19 in Kolding.

An immersive concert is an experimental concert format that allows for a fuller and more spatial experience of sound. The panel will discuss how such formats call for new curatorial approaches and interdisciplinary practices – and what opportunities and challenges arise when art and technology merge.

In collaboration with Sonic College, GRASP also presents an immersive concert series with the artist Yör, previously featured at GRASP Festival and now again at Sonic Days. Here, the immersive concert becomes a physical case study that offers audiences concrete insight into what experimental concert formats can achieve when sound, technology, and curatorial practice work hand in hand.

The panel is part of GRASP Pop Up, where GRASP moves into other institutional platforms to create new encounters and conversations about art, knowledge, and change.
