Where do young people find hope at a time when the climate crisis and global uncertainty have become a permanent state of emergency? And how do they organise – locally and globally?
We explore these questions as Roskilde Festival Højskole, in collaboration with Operation Dagsværk, screens Phie Ambo’s new film Fire, Water, Earth, Air, followed by a conversation about climate anxiety, activism and global solidarity – with perspectives from climate movements in Denmark, the Nordic region and across the world.
The panel brings together Elisabeth Biró Nielsen (current campaign volunteer and former board representative at Operation Dagsværk), Caspar Coster (former student and current co-creator at Roskilde Festival Højskole) and the film’s director, Phie Ambo. Together, they explore how young people in particular can hold on to hope and find the power to act in the face of the climate crisis. The conversation is moderated by Marie Erbs Ørbæk (Interdisciplinary Programme Director and Head of Events, Roskilde Festival Højskole).
As part of the event, students from Roskilde Festival Højskole will also present an artistic and activist manifesto developed in the days leading up to GRASP together with Operation Dagsværk and inspired by the festival’s theme, Future Hope.
