While debates about welfare often take place in city halls, parliament, and expert circles, KL and the Academy for Social Innovation asked a different question at this year’s Roskilde Festival: What do young people themselves think about well-being, community, and the good life?
Through Fremtidens Velfærd, a collaborative initiative by KL and the Academy for Social Innovation as part of Forandringskraft, festival participants were invited to keep a diary about their hopes, concerns, and everyday experiences. The result is a collection of personal reflections that offers a rare insight into how young people experience their lives, local communities, and opportunities for the future.
This workshop takes its starting point in the voices of young people themselves. What do their reflections tell us about the future of welfare? What changes do they call for from municipalities, civil society, and local communities? And how can we create the welfare society of the future together?
Drawing on the collected texts, participants will be invited into dialogue and reflection on how we can build a welfare society that is rooted in young peoples lived experiences and hopes for the future.
