All 98 Danish municipalities have developed climate action plans to help meet Denmark’s national climate goals: a 70% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 (compared to 1990 levels) and climate neutrality by 2050. Several municipalities are now actively exploring how cultural actors can contribute to realizing these goals.
Kulturens Analyseinstitut presents how Roskilde and Horsens Municipality have approached the task of identifying green transition potentials within the cultural sector through two collaborative projects. In Horsens, Kulturens Analyseinstitut developed Grønbog Horsens to support further development among municipally funded cultural institutions. In Roskilde, they have helped establish a knowledge and action network for both large and small cultural actors wishing to influence audiences and society in a greener direction.
