Engaging the Unengaged Youth

THURSDAY 26 SEPTEMBER

Discover innovative approaches to collaborative co-creation across borders and how they captivate otherwise unengaged youth

  • Thursday 26 September
    Cafescenen, 15:00

Youth is a difficult target group to reach but at Planbørnefonden they are creating new pathways to engage the otherwise unengaged youth. In this talk Planbørnefondens public engagement manager Kirsten Brogaard will unfold the vision behind these new ways of practicing engagement campaigns targeting youth.

Joining her on stage will be Danish singer Iris Gold and Zimbabwean director and videographer Praise L Nkala, who will share insights from their recent collaboration. Together, they created a powerful music video for the "No Means No" campaign—an initiative by Planbørnefonden aimed at preventing violence against women.

Jess Crombie, a researcher, scholar, and expert in storytelling, will also join the conversation, to further explore how these innovative collaborations create space for new narratives and resonate with young audiences.

You will leave this talk with inspiration and new ideas on co-creation and how to engage young people, that you can hopefully use in your own work.
